This specialty cam locking bar is for 24 valve VR6 engines. The 24-valve VR6 engines were used on some GTI, GLI and all 3.2 liter VR6. Also specified for W8 and W12 engines (two needed). This plate locks both camshafts at top dead center for setting valve timing. Solid steel with a protective finish (the factory T10068A is plastic).
Note: Not for 12 valve VR6. Not for any 2.7 or 2.8 liter conventional V-6 engines.
